The GR-SXM37 features a compact stylish design. The 25x's optical zoom, 2.5" LCD and built-in auto-light make this SVHS-C camcorder really stand out. The JVC GR-SXM37U boasts three recording modes: It uses Super VHS recording to deliver up to 60% better resolution than JVC standard models for better quality home movies. For quality and economy, the Super VHS ET mode lets you take those high-resolution videos using any VHS-C tape. For compatibility with any VHS video recorder, standard VHS is also available. A 2.5" LCD view screen allows the camera to be operated from any angle, for maximum comfort. The picture stabilizer gets rid of annoying picture shake. The 1000X digital zoom makes sure you don't miss any of the action. A built-in light improves the picture in nighttime situations. When you are done recording, the tapes play back and can be shared in any VHS video recorder using the provided VHS-C Playpak.

    Going Back in Time

    If anyone uses a camcorder for more than a vacation and small children, I think you will like this model. After purchasing several "micro" pocket camcorders, i just couldn't take decent video with them. They were in fact too small. I also purchased a Samsung DX205 and a Samsung D372. While both are great camcorders, I found they to were just too lightweight. Causing me to take shaky video. I then found the SXM37U with a best offer. I offered what I thought was way too low and seller accepted my offer. I really wasn't buying it for myself, I thought I could make a few bucks by reselling. I did want to make sure everything functioned properly so, I cleaned it up and charged the battery. Much to my surprise, the shakiness was gone from my videos.     If you're looking for a camcorder that's easy to use, check this one out!!

    I bought this product because of its size and ease of use. It's the kind of video camera you can take almost anywhere. Functionality wise, this video camera is very easy to operate, and doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. For the price that I paid for it, I would recomend to anyone who asked me about it. Compared to other items similar to it, it operates as good if not better than most cameras.

    Good Video

    Good camera, I got this so I can transfer old tapes to digital. I had lost the original camera years ago. Decided to give this a try. Works great, easy to use, no problems. Fast shipping, good buy.

    JVC GR SXM37U Camcorder

    I like this camcorder for the small size and many features it has to offer. The picture quality is very good, and the stablizer is nice to have. The price was right on E-Bay and I couldn't pass it up. If you buy one, you may want to invest in a longer life battery, as the original may not be enough for any one event.

    Good purchase, good product, slow shipping.

    I bought this particular product, because it is exactly the same as the one I already owned. My old unit quit working. I am familiar with how this one works, and I needed it to use for dubbing my many home videos onto DVD's. Good product, except the battery was old, dead, and not able to charge.
