    Stunning sharpness

I bought this lens following friends advise about prime vs zoom lenses I was blown over by the sharpness even though I have been using L series Canon lenses . This lens is for my Sony a6400 Which is a great little camera

  • A stellar optic which exceed all my professional expectations.

I upgraded my Canon 24-105 F4 L series pro lens to the Sigma. Some may be surprised by that, I worked as a pro and was not wholly satisfied with the image quality of the Canon. Wide angle distortion and vignetting was the main issue. I owned a few Sigma lensed over the years and were totally satisfied. The Sigma 24-105 F4 ART is not a cheap lens, being about the same price as the Canon. Build Quality is in many ways better: focusing is smooth for video zooming, distortion and vignetting is better controlled than the Canon and Bokeh is superior. Its a heavy lens which has an 82 mm filter which are the only downsides. Regretfully I sold it, along with much of my pro gear for Fuji mirroless system when I retired. I'm now looking for another to use with my old 6D as its a perfect match for ...

  • Glad to own it, would but again if needed.

Very well made, fantastic quality images and good value for the money.. Hand held on a non stabilised camera can be a bit tricky in lower light etc.. But on a tripod.. excellent, fixed focal length not for every body but 56mm is a really good length.

  • SO GOOD!!!

Fam. This is so good. I knew the lens was solid, since i've looked at it since it came out. I just didn't expect it to be like buying it from b and h - on ebay. The lens is new, unopened, and super solid. Shipping time is also incredible!!

  • Sigma 56mm f1.4 Sony e-mount

Everything I expected. Sharp even at f1.4. The sharpest lens I have in my collection of 6. Not too large or heavy. Autofocus tracking seems very good. The perfect portrait lens and near range action shots.
