Great at protecting hearing when loud volume is an issue (check my notes at the review)
I'm working as a photographer in small venues where the music is LOUD!! These are the best ear plugs to protect my hearing. their noise reduction is so effective, that I can lean against the PA speakers and still not worry about how loud the volume is. I have two pairs with me in case I lose one while at work. They are reusable and washable (which you want to do after you wear them). Because they are made of hard rubber, they tend to hurt when worn for a long period of time. But It's a trade off I'm willing to accept if it means that my ears are protected. ** Note: most of the posts on ebay for these earplugs display the wrong packaging. These oval opaque cases are NOT included anymore. They come with a small, thin box (see pictures attached) that can't really be considered a "case". ... They are made of rubber. ** In order to get the maximum protection, when you insert them in your ear, reach out with the other hand over your head and pull your ear lobe up. it will help inserting the plugs deeper. Also, when you take them out, don't just pull !! TWIST while slowly pulling the plug out.

Great ear plugs!
I've tried many different brands but these work great! I work in a very loud environment and they help cut noise while allowing to talk at the same time. The stems are wider which allows easy install/removal. I would but again for sure!!

Uncomfortable and pretty worthless
These work well In the shop I work in but are horribly uncomfortable over an 8 hour shift. In performing or watching live music they are completely worthless. The sound is quite crisp and clear but my hearing is blown out which tells me that they offer no actual protection in the setting they are supposed to be designed for. Very disappointed.
