    Not a great lens

    It's an inexpensive lens, but no great improvement on the standard kit lens. For less money, you can pick up a Canon 17-85 which has superior image quality. A 2.8 aperture isn't much good if it doesn't have the image quality to match

    Tamron f2.8 VC

    Bought this lens to replace a Sigma f2.8 that had auto focus issues on my Nikon D7100. The Tamron is pin sharp, I am glad to report, as I had lost faith in the Sigma. So I bought a second hand Tamron, and have to say I'm very happy with it.
