Bust-A-Move 3000 continues the classic bubble-popping action Nintendo owners have experienced in one form or another since the franchise's 1995 Super NES debut. For its first GameCube appearance, the game adds a new anime-inspired visual style to many of the familiar features from past editions. As in the original, the main object of the game is to clear a screen filled with bubbles before the ceiling collapses.<br><br>Players aim a bubble launcher (located at the bottom of the screen) in the direction of similarly colored bubbles. Match three or more of the same color and they'll disappear from the playing field. Bubbles must be popped at a steady pace since the ceiling gradually lowers during play. Once it moves past the "deadline," the game is over. Single-player mode offers a selection of pre-defined layouts as players attempt to clear the screen as quickly as possible, while two-player versus competition is available against a friend or a series of increasingly challenging computer opponents.<br><br>Bust-A-Move 3000 features a total of 12 characters to choose from, 120 stages of bubble-busting action, multiple difficulty settings, and a stage edit mode that lets players create their own puzzles and scenarios from scratch. Quirky characters range from kittens and robots to birds and frogs, with each possessing distinct abilities such as how fast they can guide the bubble launcher. Backgrounds for each stage include cityscapes, forests, notable landmarks, insects, abstract art and more. Options, stage progress, and records for each mode can all be saved to memory card.

    Better than Bash!, yet something is missing...

    I bought this because it's a Gamecube port of Super Bust-A-Move, a game that most remember playing on the PS2. The only difference here is that the soundtrack has been changed, other than that, it's identical. I'm not sure why, but that makes a big difference to me... I think I was trying to capture a piece of my past buying this version and it was lost along with the old soundtrack(. Bottom line is this - it plays like Bust-A-Move and if you are looking for another version of Bust-A-Move that you can play on your Wii/Gamecube, that doesn't share the super-awkward control scheme of Bust-A-Move Bash! your money won't be wasted (assuming you find a cheap, used copy) picking this up - just don't buy any of those still new in shrink wrap copies, 'cause it isn't worth it at that price.

    This game is the best. Bust-A-Move/Puzzle Bobble game series, are one my favorites. I been playing a lot, at least I did it with no continues, especially for highest score records and my speed run. And I'm gonna best great gamer in the world....and the universe.

    great!

    I was looking for an inexpensive game that works...and I did! I am a satisfied customer. It is what I expected, same bubble popping game that I loved and entertained me for years plus more tricks and difficulty level increased a few notches higher.
