Put yourself in the role of a police investigator while playing L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition on the Microsoft Xbox 360 console. This unique game is set in Los Angeles in the 1940s. As detective Cole Phelps, you must solve gritty and violent cases throughout the city. In the meantime, your own personal life is unwinding, causing you to become part of the very darkness you are trying so hard to fight. The game uses interesting game mechanics. Detailed face capturing was performed to give characters a realistic appearance. Players must use their intuition during pivotal questioning scenes in the game. As a complete edition, the three discs contain additional cases, challenges, and content. The gameplay of L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition is fairly intuitive, and the first case acquaints you with the Xbox 360 console controls. Watch out while driving. You will get in trouble if you cause too much damage while on the road. The game is highly interactive with the NPCs, giving you near constant feedback. Bad driving can cause a character to tell you, “You’re a reckless, bad person.” As you discover clues, they are recorded in your police notebook. As you progress, you have the opportunity to interview suspects. Watch their gestures and facial expressions for clues. Can you tell if they are lying? The relationship with suspects and witnesses is based on the decisions you make and what you choose to say. In the opening cut-scene, you get the sense of the postwar optimism prevalent in Hollywood in the late 1940s. However, corruption seems to be eating the heart of the big city. Young and idealistic, Cole begins his career as a uniformed police office beside his partner, Ralph Dunn. Cole strives to move up in the law enforcement world and always seeks to go beyond his basic duty. His eagerness to follow up on leads prompts his partner to say, “Such a little Boy Scout, Cole.” As you successfully solve each case in L.A. Noire, your rank in the department rises. Sometimes, it appears that you are being demoted but keep vigilant. After being designated to the Traffic Desk, you can move to the Homicide Desk, Vice Desk, and Arson Desk. At each step, Detective Phelps also unravels the corruption hidden deep in the department There is more to discover on the mean streets beyond solving cases. As you progress in L.A. Noire, you can discover a number of hidden classic cars. Each car drives and handles differently. As you achieve higher ranks, you are rewarded new outfits. Search for the Golden Reels, which play videos of classic noir films from the time. L.A. Noire from Rockstar is dripping in the aesthetics of the 1940s and 1950s. The graphics and storyline are reminiscent of the movie, “The Naked City.” This Xbox 360 video game from Team Bondi and Rockstar Games was released in 2011. It charts new territory for video games yet needs no special accessories. L.A. Noire can bring many hours of entertainment for gaming enthusiasts of all ages.

    I don't like leaving a negative review but this item clearly said in the Title in all caps "MANUAL INCLUDED" sorry to say, it wasn't and I messaged the seller right away asking if maybe they had it still and just didn't get it in the case, but I have not gotten any reply as of yet and it's been a couple of weeks. I'm sorry I have to leave this review but for the the sake of other buyers I have to. If I do get the Manual or a message about it I will update my review.

    Love It!

    The game is great! I had to play the game under a different profile. For some reason I could not use my prfile. I am not to sure, if it is because I have save the 3 disc game. And just have to run through the game again. It is still well worth the price & hours of fun. Now I just might look for The L.A. Noire Remastered as well.
