It mounts on the driver's side as shown in the diagram (last picture). This is the heavy-duty style with the rear support typically used on higher horsepower engines. This is a New Old Stock (NOS) switch. That means it was manufactured years ago from GM but never used or installed. It has some light "shelf" wear but in near show quality condition. NO RETURNS.
