Looks good, fairly easy to assemble however not very clear about placing the seat on the fittings, the seat has to be open, it took ages for me to work this out but once you know it’s easy

The actual Oak seat is really solid and it has a nice weight to it I also like the overall shape. Be sure to check the size in the listing as some of their seats are smaller than others. This was the longer one, hence me getting it. Things that let this seat down: 1. The position and size of the seat pads, not sure if it was just my toilet, but not one of them touched the bowl when fitted in position, red lines indicate where they were. Once repositioned they were also not quite tall enough to touch the seat unless sat on, they are also made of really hard plastic which meant with the weigh the slipped on the ceramic. 2. The plastic clip mechanism which locks and releases the seat from the toilet fixings are just awful! all that trouble making sure the fixings fit to your bowl and don't slip is a waste! The little plastic clasps are small and flimsy and leave too much room for the pins to move around, I had to add electrical tape around the metal pins to fix this. I understand that it may be tricky to have universal pads, but the slow release mechanism is very cheaply made and really makes it pointless to have "real wood" if the seat slips around. All in all not worth the price.Read full review

Toilet seat so tiny that only my young children find it comfortable to sit on. In addition, this is the worst fitting mechanism I have EVER seen in 52 years. They try to make these things better by making a clever, overcomplicated mechanism, and it ends up being 1000 times worse than a simple screw on fitting. Make sure you read the sizes, this one looks nice in the photos, and will fit your bottom...........if you are 4 years old. : (

Not much room for adjustment so the lid wont stay up, glue down fixings which looks as though they will last but it's just way too over complicated for a toilet seat. Also the oak on my one was a combination of redish, light and brown in colour, which looks a bit odd, and the soft close isn't great either. The only plus is that it is solid when eventually fixed in place. I'l be changing mine when I get round to it, mainly because the lid wont stay up.

This is a super loo seat, solid, well-made to a high finish, and it is so easy to fit into position to just wherever you need it to be, depending on the size of your toilet bowl. The soft close is lovely, no more banging down of loo seats!! Wish we had bought one ages ago. Highly recommended.

The glue was rock hard so had to use another product. The soft close only works for the seat, not the lid. Took far to long to install and very fiddly Wish I had got the other brand we used in our main bathroom, but they did not have a wooden seat.

Smaller than the old one but it fits, just the feet don't sit well on the rim, I don't think it will last

I have to say I have bought a lot of toilet seats but this one is outstanding. You can see it's good and you can feel it's good. You can tell it's made from good solid wood. The hinges are really good, it was easy to fit and it works perfectly. The slow close on it is excellent. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable seat that everyone remarks on.
