Induction hob boils a 3 litre stainless steel pan of water in 7 minutes at setting 9 (still learning how to use the Powerboost option). This is half the time taken by my old ceramic cooker which took 14 minutes at "full" power and used about 0.4 kWh of electricity, and tripped the circuit breaker if much else was used at the same time. So the 0.2 kWh has already started the payback, i.e 35% to 70% efficiency, old hob versus new hob (where 0.14 kWh is 100 % theoretical). Everything else performs much as expected so far, and appears to be worth the money though the relatively flimsy base without mounting wheels needed much more care when moving the new cooker in than moving the much heavier old cooker out. I'm happy I found this Mini with a BMW engine.
