    Compared to an Original VN5-MR

    I still have a NOS NIB VN5-MR stylus for my V15V cartridge. The Jico SAS/B has a softer presentation compared to the beryllium canti original. Tracks at 1 gram + 0.45 grams for the brush. Different sound than the beryllium MR, but the SAS/B is good in its own right. My original stylus won’t last forever. So the Jico is a great 2nd daily driver stylus.

    Better than expected.

    Arrived mush sooner than I excepted. Installed into my Shure V15 Type VMR and was amazed to hear things I have not heard in years. While it is on the expensive side the results were great and better than expected.

    Great step up for my V15 Vmr cartridge!

    Fantastic stylus replacement for the Shure V15 Vmr. In many ways a big “modern” improvement in sound quality. A bit of a high frequency rise about 16.5k which caused some brightness and sibilances. Had to change the phono input loading from its standard 47K/150pf to 26K/770pf. Smoothed out the top end very nicely. Excellent detail and imaging. Nice tight articulate bass. Really enjoying this cartridge! Very high quality stylus and a step forward. Worth the money.
