Black Books TV Series Complete Box Set
Very engaging and entertaining. A gentle and intelligent comedy with good plots and situations. Most of the dialogue and action is confined within a dusty old book shop, but whereas the scenery is limited, the imagination is not. Great characterisations, sharp writing and great comedic performances. Thoroughly likeable characters. I never saw this televised so watching it on dvd was a total treat. It has the condensed plotting of Faulty Towers and the wit and surrealism of Father Ted . A pure pleasure to watch.Very engaging and entertaining. Loved this series when it came on TV I thought it was very humerus all the characters have their own issues to deal with but always end up sticking together I think it is for a selected audience as some people might not get the humour but I think it's brilliant and it's a great addition to my collection
