Chose this saw after reading the reviews and i'm very pleased with it. Light, compact, extremely sharp and easy to use, cuts through branches effortlessly on the pull stroke. Should have bought one years ago would have saved so much time when compared to my existing saw.

Are you silky or bacho Laplander? That's what you constantly hear! Well I'm silky. Great price, easy to get a new blade (can't get actual Laplander blades easily) and so good at the job it's made for. The cuts are so fine allowing for tidy cuts and quick healing. You hear about the back pull, well this allows for a much tidier cut that doesn't rip the wood or put strain on the saw. Will slowly build a range of these as they are such great quality and exactly what's needed for a quality job.

So I've owned several folding hand saws throughout the years and this one is by far the best. It glides through the wood with minimal effort and leaves a very smooth cut. It's lightweight yet feels robust and well made. It has a comfortable rubber grip and is very well balanced in the hand.

The F180 is my most used saw, it is great to carry, well made, and because it has its teeth set inside the width of the blade can cut with light effort.(secret revealed) If you try be forcefull it will snag if you relax and draw the saw lightly it will glide through dry hardwood. The Laplander will just ride over hard woods and need some force to get the shallow teeth to cut, once the coating wears off the Laplander it starts to drag when cutting. The F180 or Laplander? Look at a thick cut bow and look at the Silky cut compared to Bahco, the Silky can make cuts at cabinet maker level, the Bahco just can't.

Silky saws were recommended by my tree surgeon. I already had a folding pruning saw but in no way was it as good as the Silky. Cuts on the back stroke as per other pruning saws but the blade is so sharp it cuts through limbs very easily. Would say its the best saw I've used, definitely worth getting one if you do tree pruning.
