Excellent Docudrama
I live in the USA and purchased this DVD from a seller in the UK. I could not watch it on my DVD player because of the Region coding. I knew this when I purchased it, as this DVD is not available in the US. I watched it on my computer and it did not dim my expectations. It is a fantastic enactment of the tragic events of the 1883 eruption that killed over 30,000 people. The acting is excellent, and sensitive. I have shown it to my whole family and everyone raved over not only the horrendous, true story, but the presentation, the special effects and make up are all excellent and believable. This production deserves more international attention. Kudos to Darrell D'Silva (Capt. J.H. Entertaining and Interesting
I really enjoyed watching this DVD, It grips you from the start and makes you want to learn more about the main characters after finishing watching it. It tells the last days from several perspectives. It must have been absolutely terrifying for those people caught up in it. The effects of the tsunami and earthquake's pyroclastic surges are realistically brought to life and how it effected the climate and the world in general. The DVD itself was wrapped well and speedily delivered. It definitely is one of the BBC's best docu-dramas in my humble opinion.I really enjoyed watching this DVD, It grips you from the start and makes you want to learn more about the main characters after finishing watching it. O rare find worth paying extra money to have it
This is a hard to find show. Extremely rare And largely unavailable. I paid a lot because I've been looking for it for about 10 years. Quality was excellent entertainment value is very high and it's historically accurate. Almost worth the money!

Krakatoa The Last Days The film itself is more like a documentary, made from the eye witness accounts of people who were there. This gives you an insite into what they saw and just what happened, and the full fury of the disaster. To me, I must admit I am a volcano nut, this film is brilliant, it gives you a blow by blow account of what happened, the ins and outs of it all. I would highly recommend this film to anyone. Acting was good, special effects were also fantastic, all in all worth the money you pay for it, if you liked Dainty’s Peak, then you will LOVE this film.
