Captivating story of how God is aways present even during difficult situations.

This 3rd book of the Cape Refuge series is very compelling and well written. Terri Blackstock is one of my favorite Christian fiction authors. I enjoy how she ties is God and salvation with upsetting and thrilling stories of evildoers. This story can stand alone, but it's in the first book where you really get to know the main characters and the second book continues their story as other crazy life events happen involving them. And of course, book three is a continuation of that.

  • River's edge by Terri Blackstock

River's Edge was a good book in the 4 book series of Cape Refuge. However, I found it to be the weakest of the 4. The storyline was good and so personal to all who have lost a baby or are trying to have a baby. The author has lots of twists and turns and I never suspected the murderer until the end. It was sell written, but not as good and Books 1,2, and 4. It is a must read, though, if you are planning to read book 4 so you will be familiar with new characters. The author writes about real life issues that plague us daily and she is able to capture the emotions of the characters to such an extent that the reader feels very much involved in the story. I felt the emotional roller coaster that the families went through as if I were there and wanted to comfort them! Terri Blackstock ...

  • River's Edge by Terri Blackstock (2004)

I love just about anything by Terri Blackstock. She's an amazing author. This book was great for the mystery and suspense behind it. So many times we think of a Christian author as humdrum and boring. Not so with Terri Blackstock! She takes you into an amazing world of mystery and you feel like you're right there with her. She's a master story teller and weaves this great tale where everything comes together perfectly. And then, at the end of the book you're dying for the next one to come out. I actually got this book because I was putting it in our church library. I had read it a couple years ago (the whole series), but I had to read it again after I got it this time, too. My all-time favorite book is by Terri, Last Light, which just came out last year and the 2nd book of the series will ...

  • Must Read the entire series

First, this was purchased for our Church library. Quite a few of us enjoy this author and as always she didn't disappoint me. She is an excellent mystery author with good lessons for everyday life in her books that include quotes from the Bible to help the reader understand. Some Christian writers do this better than others and she is one of them that I admire for her lessons that can't help but take you to task. This series is about refuge in Christ and how as his people we can extend this to the ones who need it most.

  • Terri is on of the best christian fic. writers

Just finished River's Edge and the book before it. Read one and had to move on to the next. I just got on ebay and bid on book 4 in the series. She is a great christian writer and can weave a great web of mystery and intrigue. Along with the mystery and great adventure she give examples of life and problems that one might have along their journey, she shows through her writting that accepting and coming to Jesus can help to make your journey easier and more peaceful. I promise if you read just one of her books, you will be checking your library, ebay and stores for more. Grab one and enjoy it.
