This is the second Sony Handycam iv'e had and I am very pleased with all aspects of this item. This camcorder is now quite old so getting it repaired if it goes wrong is now difficult but there are still some out there on the secondhand market. I have got this one because I have over 100 tapes in my collection that needs this Handycam to be able to play back or transfer to DVD Disc.
