These are an economic and efficient option for long runs - say batches of 10 or more laminating sheets. It becomes more costly for short runs because about 20 cm of laminate is wasted at the end of each job (the trimmer is 20cm away from the lamination rollers. There is also the inconvenience of trimming the laminate after sealing, either leaving a clear border for encapsulation, or against the edge of the paper for a clean edge but unsealed. It's not easy to enter each sheet exactly square, so each sheet needs individual trimming in my experience. There is also no protection against the next sheet lying over the trailing edge of the previous sheet if great care isn't taken to enter after the previous one has cleared the roller (and waiting too long wastes laminate). The laminating itself works well, and is an easy way to use thin laminate.Read full review
