This is a very neat and compact camera that packs a whole lot of features and functions into its small size.Just set it to auto and its a point and shoot, twiddle the buttons and you have a very "grown up" camera. It has a very comfortable and "grippy" feel to it and the image stabilising is just great, very difficult to get a fuzzy picture. The downloadable full manual is long and involved but it needs to be as there are so many functions and options available.Just play around with it for a while pressing buttons and see what happens, its just as easy as reading the book. There is an impressive telephoto range both optical ,and optionally,a digital one.One negative point though,it does take a little getting used to, and that is the delay between pressing the shutter button and the shutter being released. This is I am told something that you get with digital cameras and will get used to it in time. All in all a great camera !!Read full review
Supplied cheaper as no box or instructions. Takes great pictures especially fully using the high quality zoom lense. Wildlife pics in particular are easy to take from about 100 yards. A bit more bulky and heavier than most cameras because of the large lense. Batteries (4 x AA) last well and seems happy with re-chargeablrs. Short re-cycle time between pictures. You would have trouble putting it in most jacket pockets. For the price (under £90.00) very good value indeed. Get a free PDF manual on the Internet. I would reccommend this camera to anyone wishing to upgrade from a compact digital camera.
My previous camera was in need of an expensive repair, so I felt it was time to change. I was attracted to the Fujifilm Fine Pix S1600 because of its price and the many features available. I have not been disappointed. The cameras' controls are well laid out, and self explanatory. So far I have been very impressed by its simplicity of use, and overall picture quality. Fuji Film were very quick to replace a faulty memory card which came with the camera. (2 days) Its size and weight make it easy to handle. I think that this camera represents excellent value for money.
I bought this to try to upgrade my photo's when taking pictures to sell items. It has a really good 'zoom' feature and I hope has improved the quality of the photo's I take. The increase in batteries (from my previous camera) from 2 to 4 also helps with its capacity between charges.
This camera is amazing! For a first camera, it's really good! & it has pre-set settings, which makes it easier for quick access whilst taking a picture. I've only recently started getting into photography, but this camera is definitely ideal. It has a really good quality, although the lens isn't quite strong enough for long-distance images. It's not too heavy, so it's nice to carry around. All in all I recommend this camera, because it's amazing!
