Jeremy, the seller has now explained to me that he was in no way responsible for the delivery of the scooter, as he had paid extra to have it unpacked and removed from the palette on arrival. The subcontractors must have sent a rogue lorry driver. I have accepted his plausible explanation and also find the scooter very comfortable and easy to follow the instructions and drive.
