Use of the word ‘gigabit’ is misleading when none of the them support gigabit speeds. Not complaining for the price paid but took one star for misleading. It works as intended once you manually install some chinese driver from a virtual drive that mounts once you connect the adapter. Type C was fitting very tightly into my laptop port. I hope it doesnt damage it.

I took a gamble and tried connecting it to a standard Network cable to use as an APC UPS Simple signalling cable - it did not work - then I checked out the pin connection diagram for the APC - it was never going to work - my fault - but have a spare USB connected network adaptor that works.
