    It arrived early and packaged by Dyson. The vacuum looks barely used at all. It feels very sturdy to hold. It's not heavy but manageable for short periods. My mom vacuumed the lounge yesterday with her GTech vacuum, so I tested the V8 by vacuuming it again. The suction is amazing. My mom was surprised at the results, see image 3. All the attachments were in the box. I will see if my old Dyson vacuum attachments fit this. Definitely good value with 1yr refurbished machine guarantee.

    Mum is thrilled with her new Dyson. It's fairly light, easy to use and looks great. I prefer 3 speeds rather than the 2 here because it gives more choice – if you use it on the high setting all the time, it reduces the battery life. Having said that, for light/medium use it's fine; the power will last until you've finished the whole house (standard 3-bed). Vacuuming is SO much quicker and easier with a battery model like this, with no annoying wires to trip over or plugs to move around. Triffic!

    Dyson V8 usage

    We have some carpet and some ceramic tiles, the cleaner copes well without any manual adjusting. The only criticism I have is the short life of battery, 20 mins on full power, 40 mins on half power is poor compared to my cordless power tools.
