    Similar Songs

    I think all the songs are so similar that I cannot tell the difference between one songs to the other. I also have difficulty understanding her words and the songs are rather flat. I believe Emmylou has a fantastic voice, but the songs are not that good. I am sorry that I felt differently than others.

    Love Emmy Lou

    I am a huge Emmy Lou fan. And like Linda Ronstadt, her albums reflect her wide range of styles, although always with a definite "country" bent, and most always in English. This one is a dandy, very different from when I first listened to her, way way back in the 1970s. Red Dirt Girl is one of the saddest songs I've ever heard, and it's why I bought this album. The rest of it is pretty darn good, too. If you like her voice, you'll like this album.

    Ask questions before you purchase about tone quality.

    Great album but the bass on this pressing is extreme. I don't know if it's a batch or just a single CD, but even at low volume, most the cuts vibrate the speakers.
