"Arthur Danto is the Johnsonian Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Columbia University and the most influential philosopher of art in the last half century. As an art critic for The Nation for 25 years and frequent contributor to other widely read outlets such as the New York Review of Books , Danto has also become one of the most respected public intellectuals of his generation. He is the author of some two dozen important books on art, philosophy, the philosophy of art, and art criticism, along with hundreds of articles and reviews which have been the center of both controversy and discussion. His article, "The Artworld" (1964) is one of the most influential writings on art of the past hundred years. "In The Philosophy of Arthur C. Danto Danto offers his fascinating intellectual autobiography. In The Philosophy of Arthur C. Danto , a monumental volume, Danto writes detailed replies to essays by twenty-seven of the keenest critics of his thought, from the worlds of philosophy and the arts. The illustrations, in both color and black-and-white, include works by Danto himself as well as by other artists exemplifying themes from his thought including 16 pages of color art reproductions." βsirreadalot.org "The series as a whole is the greatest philosophical 'journal' that has ever been published." --Edgar Sheffield Brightman, "Arthur Danto is the Johnsonian Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Columbia University and the most influential philosopher of art in the last half century. - 3***4 (124)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseThe shipping was super fast, the packaging kept my book safe and the item is accurately described in the advertisements. The price is awesome. The book is a great condition. An awesome seller πππππππππππππ
- z***j (1983)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseA great transaction on French Chef: Julia Child's French Classics DVD. The item was exactly as described with speedy shipment, great packaging and at a great price. A nice addition to my DVD collection. 100% Satisfied.
- 3***6 (78)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseThe mail service absolutely ravaged the top binding corner of the book, which really was a disappointment. Itβs not your fault as a seller, but please consider that a book in a snug envelope is very unsafe rather than a slightly larger envelope of the same strength. Itβs not going to affect your rating. I will say nothing. But please consider this in the future- Post is treated poorly and customer service is poor with mail, so itβs necessary to ship properly, especially if you sell books. :)
