    Mag Shield

    I just used this Mag Shield on my FL-8 Vexilar fish finder this last weekend ice fishing and it stayed clear and easy to read and does what's it's suppose to do. I still think it's a little high price for a piece of plastic cover though.

    Should Of Had One A Long Time Ago!!!

    Had Vexilars since the late 80's, I use to use a 6" Black Drain section to use as a protective cover and Sun shield on my Vexilars(some use to paint a 6" metal can black). With the Mag Shield it not only magnifies my screen helping my poor eye's from not having to look so close, but it also keeps my screen clean on my Vexilar from the elements!!! I was warned and knew that the Mag Shield can easily be scratched on the outer surface, so one needs to watch their handling of your Vexilar. I think a person could use a vehicle headlight scratch/fogging compound to buff up the Mag Shield if it does get scratched up though.

    Brightens and magnifies

    Makes display easier to see. The edge of the lens makes display a little harder to see if you are looking from a side angle rather than right in front of you. The benefit is it magnifies and keeps debris and dust from the display.

    Vexilar Mag Shield

    This shield keeps snow out of the unit's face. I very much appreciate how it helps magnify the display. It is a mandatory accessory. A++ product. Not too complicated and only $15. Can't go wrong
