The 10K.3 model is a 2.5-inch, 10,000 RPM hard drive with a 60 percent performance increase from previous generations. The SAS interface provides the world's first transfer rate of 6 Gbps. This enables you to transfer data between the Seagate internal HDD and the host quickly and easily, to improve the overall operational performance of the drive. With a cache memory of 16 MB, the 10,000 RPM hard drive lets you search and retrieve stored records in seconds. The PowerTrim technology helps you save 75 percent of power consumption and reduce cooling requirements of the 300 GB Seagate when compared to other drives. The self-encrypting drive (SED) application of the Seagate internal HDD, ensures high-grade security of stored data. A Seagate internal hard drive is high in shock tolerance, increasing its reliability throughout all applications.

    Noisy drives, one died right away
