The NET in a Streamlined edition!
First things first-this is a trimmed down version of the huge, flagship model that has all of the notes making this version of the scriptures so special. That is not its function. What this trim bible does bring is the NET in a compact, yet readable, edition for those that are curious or those with weighed down shelves full of bibles they no longer use. This is a Thinline edition that comes in a hardback that actually "feels" like a bible. The paper is top notch, the text is sharp on the page and the size is in that category where it's just "big enough". Being cloth over board, this would not be a suitable bible to take out to church or in public. I don't think the exposure to the moisture and oils in your hands plus the elements would be kind to the cover. But this would be perfect in the study or on the desk or shelf. As a reference it would be a great comparison tool and an alternate voice. There is all of this, and if that is not enough, the seller has this priced to sell with great shipping. Like many people that use the scriptures on a daily basis, I have bibles lined up on my shelves and stacked in other places so I don't damage their spines. I was wanting a copy of the NET but I did not necessarily want the notes (these can be accessed online). This bible fit my needs perfectly. It may be what you need.
