      Good little unit but rotary dial is scratchy.

      Quite a nice little hob, I actually purchased this as a warming plate for hobbies such as wax melting etc to save an accident on the wife’s cooker. It is quite nicely finished with a white shiny paint, and the hob has a silver chrome ring around the perimeter finishing it off nicely. The lead is a reasonable length and of thick good quality, I don't know but it feels like it could be made of some type of heat resistant plastic. The operation consists of a RED light and a single rotary switch. The quality of this switch feels awful, the one I received makes a scratchy crunchy feel as you rotate it, but it does work and the thermostat controls the heat well with 5 settings marked one to five. Caution though as the actual hot plate stays very hot for a long time once switched off so you cant ...

      Only buy this if you want to keep something warm and I mean WARM , this will not boil water , so not much use for any kind of cooking, food you have cooked it will keep warm
