The plates are all missing 1/2 the picture, just torn off. Could have happened years ago. Luckily I have another copy of this year's bound magazine collection from 1864. It was very well packaged, but delayed in shipping because of vendor's accident.

Bill Bryson is one of my favorite authors. He has a wonderful sense of humor. His books are full of interesting facts, written in such an enjoyable manner. I can’t imagine that anyone would love this true tale of time on the Appalachian Trail.
