    Must own for fans

    This is the original franchise that started it all. It captured the imagination of the entire nation during the early 1970s with stories of time travel, talking apes and end of mankind as the dominant race. 50 years later it still strikes a chord. There is a timeless quality to the unique story that contains relevant social issues about race and human fate. This blu ray collection is a must own for fans. Watch it in all its ham-fisted glory to its illogical end in high definition.

    Finally

    I've been looking for tis for quite a while. It's somewhat difficult to locate. The TV series is a continuation ofr the several of the movies. Great acting and storylines make this a successful series. Highly recommended.

    Good Set of Movies

    POTA has long been a favorite of mine. I have the box set on regular DVD so I thought I'd go for the blu-ray set. There are lots of extras and the intros by the Lawgiver are pretty cool. The visual quality is very good but there don't seem to be much of an upgrade over the DVD version. The sound was really the only issues I had. The first couple of films just didn't give that surround sound experience. Overall a good value and great movies.

    Great movie set.

    I worked in e theater when the first 2 of the series premiered. I missed the last three due to military service. The box set brought back fond memories and allowed me to see the last three that I missed. Great set of movies highly recommended.

    Apes rule on Blu Ray

    I owned this collection on DVD , but it is simply amazing on Blu Ray. Although it does not contain an extra features separate DVD, it was not necessary as each Blu Ray is loaded with extra features. Highly recommended for Sci Fi and or Planet of The Apes fans. Long live the Apes !!!
