    Do not buy from this seller. I ordered an open box power adapter. The package was shipped quickly. However, what was in the box was not the power adapter I ordered. It was a different, lower priced model repacked in the "open box." I messaged the seller immediately with photos. He has not responded after five days. If you read the negative comments on this seller, what he's done to me fits a pattern. So save yourself a headache, don't buy from this guy.

    Cool gadget!

    This was a gift for the wife and at first she hated it, but fortunately we have a teenager who showed her how to install and operate the app on her phone and now she loves it! The camera shows great detail and has excellent night vision. We got a used one (hard-wired type) and we had to erase its memory from the previous owner and we had some other small issues (such as properly hooking up the little electrical gizmo to our existing doorbell chime), but there are several good YouTube videos which walk you through the installation process. Downside: I now get a phone call from the wife every time I go out the front door to find out where I'm going...

    Wired nest doorbell

    I have a wired nest doorbell at my main entrance of my home and wanted another for the back to keep an eye on the backyard. This one however doesn’t have a clear picture but has all the other features nest offers. This was a used product and this is probably the reason they sold it! That being said I would still recommend nest products ! Had them for years this is the first time I been disappointed. Have to buy new product to replace this one.

    Nest is pricey but best of breed

    This is easily the best video doorbell out there. It’s durable and made of high quality materials. WiFi/network config is a snap. Physical installation is easy too. I love the 4:3 aspect ratio as it makes great sense for the location of a doorbell. The wedge to let you change the view angle 15 degrees is helpful but will not fully compensate if your bell is in a recessed corner or on a porch. Also it does not do a great job with packages, mainly because with standard height, it can’t fully see the floor space directly in front of it. This could probably be corrected with lens curvature but they didn’t want to do that it seems for the doorbells, as opposed to the standalone Nest cams. I’m sure i could lower it, but this is more difficult due to the location of the hole for the existing ...

    Almost too good!

    The unit is connected to a transformer that I installed in a wall about 3’ from the Nest. Everything works great! The only exception is the fact you cannot adjust the sensitivity of the microphone. If you set the unit up to acknowledge and send notifications from either the sound or motion you will receive hundreds of messages a day showing very slight movements or micro sounds that are barely heard by the human ear. I am looking into making some type of covering to help with the sound sensitivity. Otherwise it works just fine! Dondi

    Great picture for me, I don't know why I waited

    Well I had another brand for 3 years and I had continuing problems with it holding a charge even though it was hard wired I kept getting the message that my battery was low. After many months of putting up with this nonsense I made the switch to the NEST door bell. All I can say is it's AMAZING with the picture quality and capturing the whole front of my house. Very pleased and glad I made the switch.
