High quality chorus
The JHS Emperor is by all means a fine chorus/vibrato pedal that should satisfy most players. That being said, I personally found it to be a tad timid in the depth department and a little bit too much on the "dry" side. It is said to have been designed after the Arion SCH-1, revered in some corners as a studio secret weapon, one supposedly inspired by the Boss CE-2. Somehow, I fail at distinguishing the resemblance between the two, but that isn't necessarily an issue. Overall, the Emperor is a beautifully made pedal that is guaranteed to deliver. Very cool chorus pedal!
JHS makes good pedals! The owner, Josh, is a pedal guy. It's what he loves to do. He has a VERY large pedal collection! I took two Emperor chorus pedals, and ran them both together. And it works! What a sound! You can listen to YouTube. Do it. I did. Just buy it and try it! I have other chorus pedals too. I'm keeping the JHS Emperor pedals!
