Synopsis
"Pratchett's Discworld yarns . . . are comic masterpieces. This one, unfailingly amusing and sometimes hysterically funny, is recommended for anyone with the slightest trace of a sense of humor." -- Kirkus Reviews The sixteenth novel in the Discworld series from New York Times bestselling author Terry Pratchett -- in which Death's granddaughter Susan must take over the family business. When her dear old Granddad-- the Grim Reaper himself--goes missing, Susan takes over the family business. The progeny of Death's adopted daughter and his apprentice, she shows real talent for the trade. That is, until a little string in her heart goes "twang." With a head full of dreams and a pocketful of lint, Imp the Bard lands in Ankh-Morpork, yearning to become a rock star. Determined to devote his life to music, the unlucky fellow soon finds that all his dreams are coming true. Well almost. The Discworld novels can be read in any order, but Soul Music is the third book in the Death series and the sixteenth book in the Discworld series. The Death collection includes: Mort Reaper Man Soul Music Hogfather Thief of Time, "Your grandfather is Death," said Albert. "You Know? The skeleton in the black robe?" "Death," said Susan flatly. "Well, I can't say I didn't have my suspicions." Other children have xylophones. Susan just had to ask her grandfather to take his vest off. Yes. There's a death in the family. It's hard to grow up normally when Grandfather rides a white horse and wields a scythe - especially when you have to take over the family business, and everyone mistakes you for the Tooth Fairy. And especially when you have to face the new and addictive music that has entered the Discworld. It's lawless. It's changes people. It's called Music With Rocks In. It's got a beat and you can dance to it, but... It's alive. And it won't fade away.

- a***a (772)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseItem new as listed. Shipped in an envelope with some padding, although not enough to truly protect it. Somehow, it arrived in great shape. Great price though.
- n***p (6905)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseSuper fast shipping! Great packaging!! Excellent description as well! Great seller!!!
- m***e (19)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseThe seller listed a trilogy of books confirmed both by the ISBN provided and listing it as a pack as well as the weight etc of the trilogy. The seller sent me one single book and then offered me to buy the rest of the books. I paid ~$16 the books brand new for the trilogy is $23. To tell me they have the other books and suggest I pay extra is beyond insulting especially as that would surpass the brand new box set cost. The fact that they have the other 2 and wont send them is just outrageous.
