Wow, what a cast. Leonardo DiCaprio's portrayal as the “Wolf” Jordan Belfort Of Wall Street is superb. Jonah Hill as Donnie neighbor and co-founder of the pump and dump Stratton Oakmont is painfully funny, and the beautiful Margot Robbie as the "Duchess" whose fairytale life becomes a nightmare due to her husbands greed and morally depravity. Worth one look. Not necessarily a keeper.
Looks to be a lesson against illegal financial activities. Fun for short term entertainment but no real redeeming social value. One of my worst purchases. After the Academy Awards I looked at past nominations. This was one. My curiosity was not rewarded. As far as I can determine, there is no connection between what Hollywood thinks is above average and my assessment. Naturally, I understand that the perception misalignment could be totally my issue.
