Worth $50? Nah. Worth $10? You bet!
Let me first come clean... a nasty confession. I, my fellow ebayers (and fellow gamers), have never played Crystal Key I. Sinful, isn't it? Now that my confession is out of the way, let me continue with the review. First Impression: Starting the game, you see a short cut scene where the people on an entire planet have basicly become zombies (except you), and ends in a girl getting kidnapped right before your eyes. Oh yeah, you never even met this girl before. So, you decide to follow her. After all, nothing is happening on your planet except death and mindless zombie walking. I thought for sure, this would be a high-paced mystery. But alas, no such thing. The game lets you play at your own pace and mainly a puzzle/logic oriented where, though your main objective is to stop an ... Let me first come clean... a nasty confession. The game lets you play at your own pace and mainly a puzzle/logic oriented where, though your main objective is to stop an invading force of aliens and find the kidnapped girl. You do have access to an extensive invitory to store and even combine items for the duration of the game. Gameplay: Your journey leads you to meet some interesting characters, including a guy wearing a leather kilt in the desert! Seriously! The puzzles are rather straight forward, but tough. All puzzles can be solved with a little logic and a healthy dose of exploring. The graphics have the ability to be breathtaking in certian areas of a game, including the cut scene of you riding an elevator up a gigantic tree. But the game graphics feel fuzzy, as if the computer is forced to render the graphics at oddly low resolutions. And there are quite a few graphics glitches in the form of character distortion (one guy's head kept losing his side burns and ears when he spoke), as well as distortion and lines when you move your mouse to look around. I know this isn't from a bad graphics card, as my graphics card was high end when this game came out. The sound is okay, but leaves some to be desired when it comes to clarity of what are supposed to be 'loud' sounds (think of grinding a metal plate, using a jetpack, etc). Of course, the story ends with you saving the day and the girl. Everything returns to normal. Not a bad finish, but it was very lacking given the effot exherted to reach the end of the game. Final verdict: While I would NOT recommend this game if it were still even $30, I can easily recommend it for the $5 to $10 it will fetch here on ebay. It allows for a distraction from day to day life, which is what a game should do. Though I still think it is a little too difficult, but that's just me. Make sure you don't get easily frustrated with exploring in a game just to find one small answer written in some small nook or crany (such as the puzzle where you had to find 3 four digit codes, written in an ALIEN language none the less, where the codes were in the oddest of places). All in all, I would rate "The Crystal Key II" a 3.5 out of 5. Just make sure you like puzzle games before you buy this.

Good game but not for Vista
Not as good as the Sacred Rings which I highly recommend. I have been unable to get the game to work on my Vista machine but it works well on XP and is an enjoyable game to play.
