Smooth and very easy sharpening system
Very easy to handle and it keeps your knife in a solid grip during the hole sharpening process. Easy to swap side, just flip the knife, works great! The stones 140, 300, 600 and 1500 grit are a complete set of stones and if you are a real perfectionist there are also stones with higher grit out in the market. Had a sheap Lansky system, but never liked it. Now about 20min after arrival of the KME system my ADC knife so sharp that I can shave me with it ;-)Very easy to handle and it keeps your knife in a solid grip during the hole sharpening process. Very simple to use.
The best products are easy to use. The design is well thought out, and the results are fantastic. I do like to sharpen knives to their best edge possible, and this does it with ease. I will buy finer stones to polish the sharpened edges in the future.

My first experience of a KME
Received as a Christmas gift, out of the box was disappointed with build quality. Main body wobbly on stand, metalwork thinner than I expected although does see to hold knife reasonably firm. Mounted 140 grit stone again holder not overly substantial but did hold stone eventually. Set angle at 21 deg and started to set about raising a burr eventually managed this and changed sides again took longer than I expected based upon my other systems. Worked through the grades but disappointed that even with supplied 1500 grade stone finish on edge was grainy. Tested edge but found not shaving sharp, tried 3 more knives with similar poor results.
