I chose this over a Thinkpad T440s just to give Dell a try. I owned 2 early Thinkpad models and read good reviews about this Dell. My review is basically like all the others. It's incredibly lightweight with a zippy SSD and i7 processor. The alloy case is sturdy, with the exception being the bottom which has a slight amount of flex in it. (not an alarming amount) The keyboard and touchpad work great for me. The trackpad is of course not as good as a Thinkpads, but decent and rarely used. I'm not having any of the wifi issues that others have mentioned and get a solid 300mbps connection anywhere in my house. The 1080p display is a very nice feature. I was worried that 14 inches might be killer on my eyes, but both Windows 10 and Linux's Cinnamon wm have nice scaling features. The result is a sharp, customizable and space-saving interface. My only real complaint is how hot the bottom can get. Power-saving mode it isn't so bad, but plugged in you will have a personal lap heater. Battery life is sub-par at 4-5 hours, but this is more than sufficient for my needs. I could see it being a problem when streaming video. You could pre-download your youtube videos as mp4 and probably easily double the battery life. All in all I expect this machine to last awhile. The internal components are easily serviceable. Dell even made the power jack replaceable without soldering. My main reason for selecting this model was to have an mSATA3 SSD alongside a platter drive for storage. This enables me to be a power user on the go without sacrificing portability.Read full review

I must say the laptop works fine(no problem yet) for a 'R' Dell latitude E7440.Howevrr I am not very happy with the heavy dents and scratches at the edges more so at the backside.The dents shouldn't be there for a laptop $499.99 for a "Factory Refurbished.The dents and scratches makes the laptop not refurbished because for a refurbished laptop dents or scratches should be removed more so it should be "Brand new with an old engine" even if it means getting a new case or clean edges.....Do you agree? or Probably not. Anways the laptop works fine (for now) even with its irritative dents and scatches that makes me partially unsatisfied with my purchase of the Dell Latitude E7440 laptop.I feel EFXDigital need to do something about these dents or scratches....

Great Laptop, is one of the best ultra book for business design by Dell. Is light weight, but don't expect a feather. Lithing fast system mostly because the SSD.

I have been buying refurbished Dell Latitudes since 2008. As always, this is a great machine. And the supplier did a great job bringing it up to speed. Cosmetically perfect, although I wouldn't expect that again. Everything the supplier described is accurate on the laptop. Running Office 365 for business use, it is excellent. Thin and relatively light as compared to others in its class. Battery life is not great at about 4 hrs. But, the batteries are modest priced and can be replaced with one toggle latch, so I am carrying a spare. I will be buying another in the next month or so, from this supplier..

Excellent Laptop. Ultrafast, keys are so soft and key travel is awesome. Screen is awesome! Laptop is pretty. I am so satisfied... Downside is battery, I would except longer battery life. Also touch screen is not so responsive compared to other brand. Fan will turn on often when streaming and makes some noise. And it's a little heavy, but for me it s better than my old 5.5 pounds Toshiba! Overall quality of the laptop is high! Boots fast, open applications fast, copy fast! Excellent student and professional laptop!
