Lots of power. Cut, grind or buff. Milwaukee has a similar grinder that has a longer/stronger warranty but I've had good luck with dewalt so I went with yellow instead of red.my friend bought the dewalt equivalent Milwaukee so we will see which does the best over long term use. I have heard good things and bad things about all the makers of powers tools... I've got several battery operated dewalt screw gun/drills that have operated and served well. I spent my money faithfully and have confidence the dewalt DWE402 will serve me well for many of years to come.

I make much of my living with an angle grinder. I’ve learned not to waste time or money if it’s not Dewalt. They just stand up to the abuse. I’m not crazy about the paddle switch or the ergonomics of holding the switch down. That could be better. However this is now the second one like this I’ve bought. If you’re gonna be OSHA compliant it kinda has to be that way. But the quality with Dewalt is great.

This is my first angle grinder purchase. It is a strong grinder that quickly cleaned up a 3' x 6' piece of 1/2 inch steel using a Makita cupping wire wheel. I plan to use it for cutting, grinding, flap sanding, and wire brushing my steel projects. The power is sufficient for these tasks. I like the easy to use one touch guard that lets me aim where the sparks are directed as well as protecting me from potential impalement by a shattered attachment. This model does not have a ground wire, but it seems to not have a significant impact on the safety or usability of the tool.

so far the grinder upgrades from the older model to a higher amp grinder which is a good start and the amp which makes it powerful with high rpm. another great thing is it has a fan which prevents grinders from breaking down like the older models do. i am happy with this model and been using this grinder daily.
