This is a very neat and effective device. It enables me to keep close control of gas usage and has several additional features I like. I can set it to power down while I am on holiday, but without allowing the house temperature to fall below a minimum I can set, and it will come on early in very cold weather to make sure the house is warm when we get up. It is easy to set up and adjust.

You do get a unit with many different functions for the money so works well. All instructions are clear and it is easy to set up with existing compatable relay unit thats wired to your boiler.

Programming the device is straight forward and the copy day function allows you to quickly create the 7 day schedule. The override function is useful for those very cold days when you need to boost the warmth in the house. You just need to remember to switch it off before going to bed.

This was a replacement for one that failed. It is quite a delicate unit that can easily get damaged if left in the wrong place. The LED screen appears to be a weak point, and once it fails you can't control it, so make sure it is 100% functional before you buy secondhand. That said it has quite a few features, and if you take the time to review the engineers installation manual, it has many many more that are not obvious from the domestic quick start user guide. Expensive if you buy it new, and not cheap secondhand.
