I have to say I was unsure whether to go for this because of so many negative reviews on Apple's site; but I have not been disappointed. Great quality picture, works perfectly with my new MacBook Pro 15" Touchbar via Thunderbolt 3. A complete breeze to set up - basically plug and play. One cable from screen to laptop (via Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Dock which I would recommend too as it allows for further connectivity like ethernet) also charges the laptop. So very simple to use MacBook as desktop or unplug as portable; and when plugged in can have MacBook open to provide dual screen or shut to just use this monitor (with Apple keyboard and trackpad). Another reason I went for this is the built in webcam which works with FaceTime etc and the internal speakers are better than expected - nothing spectacular sound-wise but more then adequate for everyday use. I’m very pleased with this display, great picture quality, text is crystal clear and natural, although the design isn’t completely Apple, it still looks pretty nice on the desk. With the discount, even though it’s refurbished, it’s great value and I haven’t had any problems. Recommended.

Love this monitor, wouldn't pay full price for it but it's great for the near half price it was sold for. Works perfectly in macOS and Windows 10. Had to make sure I used an active thunderbolt 3 cable to get all functionality. Looks like new.

Connects over thunderbolt-3, has 3 5gbps capped USB-C ports on the back for hooking all your stuff up, looks absolutely jaw-dropping, looks great on your desk. The stand is rock solid, the build is great, the webcam is good, and it even charges your MacBook. Absolutely excellent, I may buy another.
