    Worth reading

No nonsense description of what it was like to be a fighter pilot during the Battle of Britain. The randomness of the encounters with enemy aircraft and their brevity was revealing.

  • An authentic down to earth perspective of the Battle of Britain

This is one of the best books on the battle of britain I've read. Its a detailed view of our nations darkest hour from a very young participant (the Authour). It shows that the battle was not always as well managed as history would portray. It shows the fustrations, the relentless pressure and human sacrifice. A damb good read I could not put it down!

  • Excellent personal history of the Battle of Britain

Tom Neil writes well about his experiences as a Hawker Hurricane pilot during the Battle of Britain. There is no attempt to gloss over the weaknesses of the R.A.F., the Hurricane or the British people at the time. As a lifelong aeroplane enthusiast and amateur WW2 aviation history buff I learned quite a bit from this account.

  • Gripping account of the Battle of Brit

Unique day by day semi diary of a fighter pilot's war in 1940. Remarkable unstated heroism, Not to be missed.
