The resistors were backed with hard cardboard and wrapped bubble wrap and included a pull tab to make it easy for me to open the tape. They were placed in a bubble mailer with even more cushioning at the bottom and as a bonus they put SHIP TO my address on the back just in case. This is the kind of seller you want to buy from.
