Used this glue for a few years now. Its just like contact glue but for shoes. Paint plenty on both surfaces and alow to get really tacky, then press and if neccessary tape the pieces tightly together. Leave overnight and its fixed. I use this for my work boots, given me time to wear out the soles. Even used this glue to re-atach a whole sole to the upper. Its a bit runny at first contact with air but thickens quickly at room temperature.

This glue is very good and strong. Good quality. Especially to fix rubber heel/soles on.

Have bought several tubes to repair shoes - from complete new sole to a small bit of rubber sticking up. It doesn"t have a nozzle so can be tricky to direct into small awkward spaces. I always add weight to the shoe and leave overnight to ensure good adhesion.

Good product but may need perseverence to get the best result on some footwear.

Have used this product before on shoes and trainers with success. Bought this time to repair toecap coming away on a pair of walking boots and has taken time to get it to be successful. First attempt didn't work and second gluing still left some gaps that could open up again. Tried a third time and this time managed to clamp up the join and left for a couple of days and this time appears to have solved the problem. Maybe the suede like material of the boot was the problem but eventually a good join was made with clamping so problem solved.

Looks/Smells Like Original Evo-Stick, But Bond is Weak

I thought this would be similar to old-fashioned Evo-Stik contact adhesive which was highly potent in smell and really strong. I bought it to repair soles on two pairs of boats - one Timberland, one Dr Marten's. Both pairs had been resoled before and the repairs were only minor. This glue doesn't seem to make a good 'contact' after the 2 dried sides are applied and is no where near as strong as original Evo-Stik. In summary, the repairs did not work using this glue.

  • Fast service, bit messy to use, hope it will last long-term.

Arrived quickly and fairly easy to use although very runny so can be messy. Too soon to rate it higher as although the sole seems to have been glued securely to the boot, it's a bit too early to say that it's totally successful. Seems to be holding at the moment though.

  • Works well, but what a smell!

Successfully repaired my cheap trainers that looked more like crocodiles than footwear. And successfully re-attached various intricately shaped sole pieces that were flapping in the wind on my son's expensive running shoes. Three weeks (of heavy usage) later the repairs are still perfect. Only two small problems: 1) The tube did not come with instructions [you really do have to apply a thin coat to both clean surfaces, then let both surfaces "dry" for ten minutes, then carefully aligne, then force contact, then leave to set for a day]. 2) There are rumours that this is a water based glue. This is not true. It's very STRONG and comes with a dreadful PONG.

  • Messy but does the job!

Needed to repair a pair on leather shoes where the rubber sole was beginning to life away around the edges. This is a messy product (like traditional UHU glue in a tube and not the rubber cement I expected?) prepare a table cover, plenty of kitchen towel and some acetone before you start. I used a wooden spatula (coffee shop stirer!) to spread a thin layer in the gaps. Be aware the tube continues to ooze glue if left without the cap on so recap instantly to avoid a huge mess! I pressed the edges together and removed excess with kitchen towel before using strips of gaffa tape to hold the join together whilst drying. Any spills on surface of the leather that didn’t wipe up cleanly, I wiped off with acetone. Took a good 24 hours to dry but seems to have done the job? Recommend for leather ...
