    Boulez rethinking Wagner

    One can wonder what Toscanini would sound like in modern sound. Clarity, balance, characterization, top quality Orchestra. Outstanding performance. An aside, I recommend Harvey Sachs new biography of Toscanini. It brilliantly brings the world of opera from 1870s to life, NYP, La Scale, plus pertinent world events.
