      The portafilter looks great. As someone else commented, I am not sure it is made by La Pavoni; but it looks, feels, works and fits the machine perfectly. The only drawback is that it took three weeks to arrive, but the seller had made me aware of that.

      Well designed and manufactured product

      Really nice machining and finishing on this product (and that's coming from a mechanical engineer!). The handle's diameter increased from the original pavoni, which makes it much more ergonomic to handle. Very much appreciate the tensioning ring for the basket - it holds it in place very well during puck removal into knock box. When pulling shots there is a lovely joining of the drips to form a single pour, and the basket has an offset from the bottom naked portafilter lip so no drips go beyond the basket. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

      Necessary upgrade

      The real gift of La Pavanni machines is that you have at your fingertips the ability to control all aspects of producing perfect Espresso. Your ability to see the flow and texture of the emerging brew is critical. This is a great tool which allows you to gauge the correct lever pressure and the speed of your draw. Also allows you to see if your tamping was uneven, if water is passing uniformly through the basket. Up your game a thousand percent. I did.

      Exceeded my expectations :)

      It is very very pretty the handle feels good in my hand and it fits the pre-millenium La Pavoni very nicely. I have one basket that is slightly too deep for it - it has a small lip at the bottom - but both of my double baskets fit perfectly. I have not yet made a spring ring for the groove, to hold the basket in place when banging out the puck in the knock box, but it has a groove.

      Excellent quality, can't find any fault

      The quality is really high and is on par with the original portfailter that comes with the La Pavoni. I am not sure whether this one is made by La Pavoni or is a third party but I don't care because it's absolutely perfect and flawless. The basket that comes with it is the same as the stock one so that's an added bonus.
