They have a threaded steel tube between the lamp and the fixing, which should mean that they don't break as easily as my current, all plastic, ones have. Unfortunately, on the inside the manufacturers seem to have drilled the screw holes under size, resulting in cracking of the plastic around the screw holes. Over all, they are good value for the money. Note: The black/white wire is connected to the body of the lamp.
