    Nice, clear and bright strings!

    Had heard that these coated strings might require cutting the nut or just not being very good. My experience so far is 100% positive! Minor stretch at first, but after a day or so they have held tune just fine. I have five bass guitars all with different brands of strings for different jobs. However, I find myself liking the sound of these so much it is almost my go-to instrument. Always expected to defer to Ernie Ball or D’Addario as time went on - maybe brand propaganda or something.... when I work through my stock of Ball and Dee’s, I intend to start changing over to DR’s coated line if they continue to perform this well.

    Great all-around tone for a coated string

    These have mixed reviews but I've never had the misfortune of others with breaking strings or dead strings on arrival. I like that these give you good in-between tone, like a flat wound and a round wound string had a baby.
