Cast iron incense burner lotus bowl
I absolutely love this incense burner, it's the best I've ever bought and my favourite. It's beautiful, practical and easy to clean, just put a little sand in the bottom and no residue sticks to the bottom so there's no scraping like there can be with the brass holders. I use mine for the cones and it's ideal for that, I can get seven or eight of the biggish ones in easily. I leave the lid off when burning them or sticky residue would build up, though a lot less than on the brass burners. Not tried it for the Japanese incense sticks yet but I'm sure it'd work fine with those. It's much bigger than the majority of burners because the base is flat and so many of the others are concave. I love it so much I bought one for the bedroom and living room! So much nicer than the more ornate incense ... I absolutely love this incense burner, it's the best I've ever bought and my favourite. If you like burning incense in resin form, this is the perfect choice. It's made of weighty cast metal, excellent quality, simple, elegant, and allows plenty of airflow around the charcoal tablet. The tiny feet mean it won't scorch the surface it's sitting on, though the handle can get a little hot. The openings in the lid allow the smoke to rise in mesmerising patterns. Even the packaging is attractive -- if you send this as a gift, it arrives in a neat little box nested in tissue paper instead of bubble wrap and a padded envelope.
