Settle in for rollicking fun with Thomas and Friends in Thomas the Tank Engine’s first full-length film, “Thomas and the Magic Railroad“. Starring award-winning actors Alec Baldwin as Mr. Conductor, Mara Wilson as 11-year-old Lily, and Peter Fonda as Lily’s grandpa, the film tells the story of Lily’s accidental boarding of a magic train. She meets Mr. Conductor who uses his magic gold dust to take her to the Island of Sodor where Thomas the Tank Engine works on the Magic Railroad. On Sodor, Thomas is antagonized by Diesel 10, a villainous gas-powered engine, and Mr. Conductor’s supply of magic dust is running low. It’s up to Lily to find Lady, the missing golden engine who just might solve all of Sodor’s problems. The tale delights young and old, featuring new characters and old favorites from Britt Allcroft’s classic Thomas the Tank Engine series.
