The Kettle Movies had Everyone Attending Laughing most of the movie.
At 81 yrs old these Ma and Pa Kettle movies were my Favorites. I even took my Mom when I was still in Grade School! I grew up in Lenora Ks. a small rural town of about 400 people. We had a Vaudville family move to town and built the Neal theatre and Ballroom. Movies, with pop and popcorn were 25 cents ! ! ! Friday nights were 2 or 3 cartoons then a Western, or similar show was played. On Saturday nights, after the movie, the chairs were attached to loooong planks allowing them to be moved back and around the sides fot a LIVE Dance for the adults. Next door was a Cafe selling Food, Beer, Setups, and Comaradi\y for Fun and two liquor stores and the town maintaince man put a red light atop the town old Ford pickup and was the Law to maintain somewhat . . . safety and order. there were lost of other town people attending a good time had for all!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ah-The good o’days!!
Great price and quick ship. Lots of movies to watch for hours of entertainment. Though the white actors in ‘indian face’ may upset some-but it was a sign of the times. Great Family Entertainment
All the films are great. Reminded us of watching these movies when we were kids. Brought back happy memories. These were usually played when there were school vacations. Ma and Pa were such happy characters. So enjoyable to watch and laugh. And these people really loved each other and took care of their kids. Hollywood Comic Classics in Deluxe Presentation
This must be the 3rd or 4th time I've seen the whole set and they are a delight every time. The bonus is including "The Egg and I" with the delightful Claudette Colbert in a comic role which started the series. Marjorie Main is everyone's Ma and grows more endearing with repeated viewings. I still find my sophisticated self bursting out in gut busting laughter at Percy Kilbride's deadpan retorts to pompous 'citizens' aiming to take him down. Some of my favorites since I was little and they always will be. Ma and Pa together are the best. This has The Egg and I which doesn't focus on Ma and Pa and the last one or two movies don't have the original Pa, but still!
