      A great cheap upgrade

      If you have an 8 - 9 year old PC with an Intel LGA775 motherboard and single or dual core processor, this is a very good way to improve its performance for about £15 rather than buying a new PC. It may not be quite as fast as a new quad core, but it still gives a Windows Experience processor score of 7.1 which is fine for everyday use, and you don't have to go through the cost and hassle of breaking in a new machine and transferring all your data. Just remember to clean off the old thermal compound from the cooler and apply some new. There's also a small chance you might break a cooler clip when you remove or replace it, but they cost pennies to replace.

      First timer

      This is the first time I have upgraded a CPU and to be honest wasn't certain it would work in an ancient Dell Optiflex 745 but surprise surprise it did and gives the machine a slightly faster response and an improved 'Windows experience'. For the price well worth it and easy to install.

      An old processor always perfect

      For a long time I used this processor on various Pc and even if dated its performance are always good. Also the management of Win 10 and some programs video not create problems Then into consideration of its cost I can give only a judgment more that positive.
