It's a second-hand book. When I've read it I'll write a thousand word summary for any eBay buyer. I went to a second-hand bookshop once where they didn't place such demanding expectations on their customers

Classic story of col war espionage.
Alegedly the character of Pym's father (Ricky Pym) is based on Le Carre's real father which adds a degree of of verisimilyude to the character. A great story and full of details of an espionage agent's life.
